🔗 Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge NXT Integration Guide

Welcome to the integration with Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge NXT. This guide will walk you through connecting your Raiser’s Edge NXT account to your ClickBid admin. You'll be able to import constituents, export bidder and sales data, and use custom data mapping to sync key donor info with your fundraising event.

⚙️ Connecting to Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge NXT

How to Connect

1. Go to your Event and click the Integrations tab on the left-hand toolbar.

2. Click on the Dashboard button.

   

3. Find the Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge NXT box and click the green Connect button.

4. A popup will appear and redirect you to the Raiser’s Edge authentication page.

5. Once authenticated, you’ll return to BidKit and see a blue Connected button.

   

Where to Access Tools

• Once connected, the Raiser’s Edge NXT dropdown in the dashboard will give you access to:

  • Import Bidders

  • Export/Update Bidders

  • Export Sales

  • Custom Mapping

  • Activity Log

📥 Importing Raiser’s Edge NXT Constituents

How to Import

1. Go to Integrations > Raiser’s Edge NXT > Import Bidders.

2. Select a campaign or leave it set to All to pull from all campaigns.

3. Check the box next to the bidder's First Name.

4. Click the Import button in the bottom right corner.

• Under Imported?, you’ll see “Not Yet” for those not yet imported.

• Use the filter to show only imported or non-imported bidders.

🧩 Custom Data Mappings

Constituent Custom Mapping

1. Click Create Custom Mapping.

2. Choose from ClickBid fields like:

   • Bidder number

   • Table number

   • Ticket holder

   • Donated at event

   • Purchaser

3. Click the green Create button.

4. To remove a mapping, check the box next to it and click Remove.

• Mapped fields will appear under Custom Fields in Raiser’s Edge constituent records.

   
  
  
  

Gift Custom Mapping

1. Click Create Custom Mapping.

2. Choose from ClickBid gift fields like:

   • Item Name

   • Item Category

   • Item Number

   • FMV

3. Click Create.

4. To remove, check the appropriate box and click Remove.

🔄 Exporting/Updating Bidders

How It Works

You can:

• Add new constituents to Raiser’s Edge NXT.

• Link to existing constituents using their Raiser’s Edge NXT ID.

   
  
  
  

Steps

1. In Raiser’s Edge NXT, locate a constituent and copy their ID from the URL.

    
   

2. Go to Export/Update Bidders in ClickBid.

3. Check the box next to a bidder.

4. In the Operation dropdown, select the correct action.

5. Click Export/Update.

• Exports typically process in under 5 minutes.

💸 Exporting Sales to Raiser’s Edge NXT

What You Can Export

• Auction items

• Ticket sales

• Donations/Text-to-Give

• Sponsorships/Underwriting

Steps

1. Go to Integrations > Dashboard > Raiser’s Edge NXT > Export Sales.

2. Check the box next to the Item Name you want to export.

3. If there's no match, click the hourglass icon to find one or enter the ID manually using the pencil icon.

4. Click Export Sales.

5. Choose the Fund (required), Campaign (optional), and Receipt Amount method.

• Exported records appear in Giving History and Gifts in Raiser’s Edge.

• Export processing may take up to 5 minutes or more.

🚫 Common Connection Issues

If You See a Blocked Connection Message:

1. Log in to your Blackbaud account.

2. Go to the Marketplace, search for ClickBid.

3. Click Get Started and follow the prompts.

If You See This Error:

1. In Raiser's Edge: Config > Tables > Phone Types

2. Add or edit a table entry to include Home as a valid type.

3. Save and try your export again.
