🔗 Classy Integration Guide for Event Managers

Integrating your Classy ticketed event with ClickBid keeps your guest data clean, synced, and ready for real-time auction participation. With just a few steps, you can link your Classy Event Campaign and automatically import ticket buyers into ClickBid as bidders—then export their purchases back to Classy as donations.

⚙️ Step 1: Connect Your Classy Account

  1. Log in to your ClickBid admin.

  2. Navigate to Integrations > Dashboard.

  3. On the Classy card, click the green Connect button.

    Classy 1
  4. In your Classy Manager, go to Apps + Extensions > Classy API, then click Create a New App.

  5. Name the app ClickBid Integrations.

  6. For the OAuth2 Redirect URL, enter: https://cbo.io/app/public/
[Insert Info Callout here] Some partner URLs may differ—verify with ClickBid Support if unsure.

  7. Click Create API and copy your Client ID and Client Secret.

  8. In ClickBid, paste the ID, Secret, and your Organization ID (from the Classy URL).

    • Example: classy.org/admin/12345/... (Org ID = 12345)

    • Classy 2

🗂️ Step 2: Link a Classy Campaign

  1. In ClickBid, select the Classy Campaign you want to connect.

  2. This campaign must be an active Event Campaign or Registration w/ Fundraising campaign.

    Classy 3

➕ Step 3: Auto-Import Attendees as Bidders

Once the campaign is connected:

  • Every 10 minutes, ClickBid checks for new ticket purchases and creates bidders automatically.

  • Bidders are not notified when they are created.

    Classy 4

If a ticket purchaser did not originate from Classy (e.g. added manually or via the landing page), you can still link them later under Integrations > Bidders Not in Classy.

🔁 Manually Export Non-Classy Bidders

  1. Go to Integrations > Bidders Not in Classy.

  2. Check the box next to each bidder to link them to a Supporter ID.

  3. Or click Send to Classy to create a new supporter.

    Classy 5

Only these fields sync:

  • First Name

  • Last Name

  • Email

  • Phone Number

  • Attendee ID

Credit cards are not pulled from Classy into ClickBid.

💵 Export Paid Sales to Classy

  1. Once a bidder pays, the transaction appears under Integrations > Classy > Export Sales.

  2. Check boxes for each sale or select all using the header box.

  3. Click Export to Classy.

  4. An email confirmation will be sent to all admin email addresses on file.

  5. In Classy, go to Reports > Transactions to view the exported donations.

    Classy 6

Details:

  • Each item is sent as a separate offline donation.

  • Exported items will disappear from the Export Sales tab after being sent.

The item type (e.g. auction, raffle) is not included—only the item name/number will display in Classy.

🛠️ Optional: Custom Data Mapping

You can map custom questions from Classy to match fields in ClickBid:

  1. In Classy, set up custom questions.

  2. In ClickBid, go to Integrations > Classy > Data Mapping.

  3. Choose where to send data for Linked Attendees or Exported Sales.

    Classy 8

ClickBid does not import responses to Classy questions—this only sends data from ClickBid to Classy.
