🖼️ Display Cards: Print Item Info with QR Codes
🧾 What Are Display Cards?
Display cards are printable 8x10 sheets that show important details about your auction items for in-person viewing. These cards can include:
-
Item Name and Number
-
Description
-
Fair Market Value (FMV)
-
Item Image
-
QR Code to link directly to the item online
Display cards are great for silent auctions with physical displays. They give bidders a chance to browse before placing a bid on their device.
⚙️ How to Launch Display Cards
1️⃣ Go to Items
-
Click the Items tab in the left menu.
2️⃣ Select Display Cards
-
Click Display Cards under the Items section.
3️⃣ Choose What to Show
-
Select which fields you’d like displayed (e.g., FMV, images, QR codes).
-
Make sure your item descriptions aren’t too long or the card layout may not display properly.
Long descriptions may cause formatting issues and may cut off key fields.
4️⃣ Generate & Edit
-
Click Make Displays.
-
Your display cards will open in a new browser tab where you can edit text and descriptions directly.
-
Use Ctrl + P or right-click > Print when ready.
Edits made in the display preview will not be saved after printing. Be sure everything looks correct before closing the window.
🌐 QR Code Tips
If you choose to include QR codes on your display cards:
-
The item must be in Active status.
-
The bidder must already be logged into the bidding site to view the items.
Test one display card QR code on your phone before printing to ensure it opens correctly.
🖨️ Printing Tips
-
Display cards are formatted for 8x10 paper only.
-
The best layout for long descriptions is the Classic theme, which offers the most room around the borders.
