📲 How to Enable Winning Bidder Text Messages in ClickBid
🧭 Step-by-Step: Enable Winning Bid Texts
1️⃣ Go to Software Settings

From your Admin Dashboard, click Software Settings in the left-hand menu.
2️⃣ Click Auction Settings

Under Software Settings, select Auction Settings to view event preferences.
3️⃣ Select the Payment Tab

In the Auction Settings panel, click the Payment tab.
4️⃣ Scroll to Send Silent Auction Winning Text Messages

Toggle this option ON to send automatic texts when an item closes.

You’ll see a sample message that you can customize.
ℹ️ Info: This setting is enabled by default for new events.
📌 Important Notes
⚠️ Warning: Winning bidder text messages only send when an item closes automatically (based on the event end time).
If you manually change an item’s status from Active to Closed, no text will be sent.
✅ Workaround: Send a Manual Text
If you need to manually close an item, use the Mass Messaging feature:

Go to Bidders > Text Bidders
(Available in the Enhanced and Full Suite licenses)
This allows you to compose and send a message directly to the winning bidder(s).
🔄 Alternate Ways to Access the Setting
You can also edit winning bidder text settings from:

Bidders > Manage Bidders

Items > Manage Items
These alternate paths allow you to adjust messaging at the bidder or item level, if needed.
