Raise the Paddle is a powerful moment in your event where guests can make direct donations in response to a live appeal. ClickBid’s Butler tool allows you to quickly and accurately record these gifts — even in real-time — to keep your totals up to date.
⚙️ Accessing the Appeal Area in Butler

Go to https://cbo.io/butler.

Navigate to the Appeal tab in the left-hand menu.

Select the donation item you want to record donations for.
ℹ️Info: The Appeal tab is where you’ll manage Raise the Paddle donations during your event.
➕ Entering Paddle Numbers for Donations

Look at the list of denominations under your selected donation item.
2. Starting with your first denomination, type in the paddle number of the guest who is pledging.
3. Press Enter, Spacebar, or click Save to record each donation.

Donations will appear in the list immediately after saving.

Each denomination amount corresponds to a donation level (e.g., $1,000, $500).

🚫 Missed a Bidder? Use a Placeholder
If you miss a paddle number during the live appeal:

Enter a placeholder donation to keep the donation total accurate.

This lets you maintain momentum without needing to assign a bidder right away.
💡Tip: You can always edit or assign the placeholder later if you get the correct paddle number.
🔁 Deleting or Editing a Donation
To remove a mistakenly entered donation or delete a placeholder:

Click directly on the donation entry.

Select Delete to remove it from the list.
⚠️ Warning: Deleting a donation will remove it from your totals, so double-check before confirming.
