🎟️ How to Set Ticket Limits and Can Guests Hold Tickets for Purchase?

🛠️ Step-by-Step: Setting Ticket Quantity Limits

  1. Navigate to:
Go to Event Tickets > Modify Tickets.

    • This helps prevent overselling.

      Add a new ticket:
Click Add a Ticket and choose a ticket type:

      • Individual

      • Sponsor

      • Underwriting

Each of these ticket types can have limited quantities

    • Optional: Mark as sold out:

  2. If you want to manually mark tickets as sold out, even before the quantity is met:

    • Toggle Mark as Sold Out?

    • Customize the Sold Out Message if desired.

Set quantity available:
In the Quantity Available field, enter the total number of tickets you want to offer. NOTE: You can now set an overall ticket quantity as well under Event Tickets > Ticket Page Settings > General Settings > Ticket Page Guest Limit.

⏳ Do Tickets Get Held During Purchase?

No. ClickBid does not reserve tickets while a user is in the process of purchasing them.
Tickets are only secured after the buyer clicks the Submit button.

⚠️ Warning: If two users are trying to buy the same ticket and one delays submission, they may lose the ticket to someone who submits faster.

🧪 Example Scenario:

  • 10 tickets are available

  • Lisa selects 10 tickets but walks away before clicking Submit

  • Erin selects 2 tickets and completes her purchase

  • Lisa returns, clicks Submit, and sees a message saying only 8 tickets are available

  • Lisa is redirected to the ticket page because her original request can't be fulfilled
