🗂️ Items: How to Sort and Categorize Items for Your Auction
🧐 Why Use Categories and Sorting?
Categories help bidders easily find items by grouping them into sections like Electronics, Gift Baskets, or Travel. Sorting allows you to control the order in which items appear on your bidding site and landing page.
Using well-labeled categories improves bidder navigation, especially when you have a long item list!
🧩 Step 1: Create Your Categories
-
Go to Items > Categories and Ordering
-
Click Add Category
-
Type in your category name (e.g., Gift Cards, Experiences)
-
Click the blue Add button
-
Click Yes to confirm
-
In the Sort Order dropdown, choose how you want to sort your categories:
-
By Category First (Recommended for grouping)
-
By Item Number
-
If you choose to Sort by Category, any items without a category will show before your grouped categories.
