🙋♀️ Letting Bidders Add Their Own Donations During your Fund a Need
Want to give your guests more control over how and when they donate during your event? With ClickBid's Donation Button, bidders can enter their own donation amounts directly through the bidding site, without volunteer input.
🛠 Step 1: Set Up a Donation Item
Before guests can donate through the bidding site, you'll need to create a donation item:

Go to your Admin Dashboard. Click Items > Manage Items

Click Add Item

Set the Item Type to Donation

Add a title (e.g., Fund-a-Need, Raise the Paddle, Give to Support Our Cause)

Enter suggested Denominations

Set the item Status to Active

Save the item
👤 Step 2: Donor Experience on the Bidding Site
Once the donation item is active:

Bidders log into their Bidding Site

A Donate button appears at the top of their screen

When clicked, it shows the Donation Item with the suggested amounts you set up

Bidders can:

Choose a preset donation amount

Or enter a custom amount

🧠 Info: These donations go directly to the donation item and are recorded in your reporting and bidder statements.
