🔀 Merging Bidders in ClickBid

 

Sometimes two bidders end up with separate records — maybe they registered twice or used different emails. ClickBid allows you to easily merge these duplicate bidder profiles into one clean record, keeping your data accurate and your reporting tidy.


⚙️ How to Merge Two Bidders

  1. Go to Bidders > Manage Bidders in your admin menu.

  2. Check the boxes next to the two bidder records you want to merge.

  3. When both are selected, a Merge button will appear — click it.

  4. Review the bidder details and make any necessary changes.

    • If both bidders have credit cards on file, only the card from the bidder you choose to keep will be saved.

    • You’ll be asked to confirm which bidder number to keep.

  5. We recommend keeping both email addresses and phone numbers when possible.

    • This ensures both individuals continue receiving outbid texts and email receipts.

  6. Click Confirm Merge to finalize the action.

  7. Your newly merged bidder will now appear in the list.



⚠️ Important Notes

  • Merges are permanent. Once confirmed, they cannot be undone.

  • Bidders are not notified when their records are merged.

If appropriate, you may want to personally notify the bidders.

Double-check all information before confirming the merge.

Let’s say a couple registers separately but bids together. You can merge their records, keep both phone numbers, and ensure they continue getting alerts without duplicate charges or confusion.
