🔒 Turning Off Mobile Checkout and How to Sucessfully Batch Process Payments in ClickBid

To prevent duplicate charges after your event, you’ll want to turn off mobile checkout before batch processing payments. This guide will walk you through both disabling guest checkout and processing remaining payments quickly and accurately.

🚫 1. Turn Off Mobile Checkout After Your Event

Once your auction has ended and you're ready to process payments, disable mobile self-checkout for guests. This avoids the risk of duplicate transactions.

🔧 Steps to Turn Off Guest Checkout:

  1. Go to Software Settings

  2. Click Auction Settings

  3. Click the Payment tab

  4. Find the setting: Guests can checkout from phone

  5. Change it to “No”

⚠️ Warning: If guests can still check out from their phones while you're processing payments, it could result in duplicate charges.

💳 2. Batch Process Unpaid Guest Checkouts

Batch processing allows you to charge all remaining unpaid guests at once—no manual follow-up required unless a card fails.

🔁 Steps for Batch Processing:

  1. Go to Event Central

  2. Click Event Payments

  3. Select the Unpaid Checkouts tab

  4. Make sure to Show All entries so you don’t miss anyone

  5. Use the checkboxes to select all unpaid bidders

  6. Ensure Batch Process As is set to Credit Card

     7. Click the blue Batch Process button

💡 Tip: If you're unsure which payment method is selected, double-check before hitting batch process!

📊 3. Review Batch Processing Results

Once submitted, ClickBid will begin charging the selected cards.

Where to Find Results:

  • Navigate to the Previous Batch Results tab

    • The date of the batch

    • The number of transactions

    • A breakdown of successful and unsuccessful charges

ℹ️ Info: Batch processing can take up to 20 minutes depending on the number of guests being charged.

4. What If a Card Fails?

If a guest still appears under Unpaid Checkouts after 20 minutes:

  • This usually means their card was declined

  • You’ll need to reach out to the guest and ask them to update their payment method

⚠️ Warning: ClickBid cannot retry declined payments automatically. Manual follow-up is required.
