📊 What Does “Donations to Display” Mean?

The Donations to Display setting lets you control which types of donations appear in live displays, such as a paddle raise thermometer or projector screen totals.

This is especially helpful during live appeals when you want to include or exclude specific donation sources like Text-to-Give, Butler-entered donations, or guest-added donations.

ℹ️ Info: This setting only affects the displayed total, not your overall donation records or reports.

🛠 How to Access Display Settings for a Donation Item

  1. Go to Items and click Manage Items

  2. Locate your Donation Item and click its name

  3. Scroll down and click Projected Display Settings

  4. Use the Donations to Display dropdown to choose your preferred option

🧩 Explanation of Display Options

All Donations to This Item

  • Includes Text-to-Give, Floor Bids, Paddle Raise donations, and Mobile donations

  • Best for full transparency and real-time fundraising totals

💡 Tip: Use this setting if you want your display to reflect all sources of donations to this item.

🎭 Placeholder (Floor Bid Only)

  • Used to simulate floor bid totals without displaying live donation data

  • These donations are added manually by a volunteer using the Butler

  • Useful when running a paddle raise where totals are entered after the fact

⚠️ Warning: No donations from mobile, Text-to-Give, or guest entry will show in the display if you choose this option.

🧠 Tip: You must enter these donations manually per bidder after the paddle raise is complete.

🚫 Exclude Text-to-Give

  • Includes:

    • Floor Bids

    • Butler-entered donations

    • Guest-added donations

  • Excludes:

    • Donations made through Text-to-Give

💡 Tip: Use this if you want to keep in-person or manually entered gifts on display but exclude mobile/Text-to-Give activity.
