🎥 What to Share with Your Auctioneer for EventStream

ClickBid's EventStream feature provides two interfaces for your live auction or fund-a-need:

• A Manage View for volunteers and admins to control bidding

• A View-Only Display for your auctioneer or AV team to follow along in real-time

This guide shows you what to send to your auctioneer and how to navigate both views.

👀 Step-by-Step: Send the Auctioneer the View-Only Link

1. Go to:
   Event Central ➡️ Live Broadcast

   

2. Click Launch Butler EventStream

   

3. In the top-right corner, click View

4. In the field labeled Send View Only Display, enter the email address or phone number of the auctioneer or AV staff member

5. They’ll receive a link to a view-only version of EventStream

✅ What They’ll See on the View-Only Display

• A green bidding bubble appears in the top-right corner when bidding is live

  

• Once the item is sold, the green bubble disappears

• This gives the auctioneer a clear visual cue that bidding has ended

🛠️ Managing EventStream (Admin/Volunteer View)

This version allows you to control the auction and manage live bidding.

1. Go to:
   Event Central > Live Broadcast

2. Click Take Control? and type: yes

   

3. Click Take Control to confirm

You’ll now be able to:

• Start and stop bidding

• Re-open items if needed

• Control what’s displayed in real time to bidders and the auctioneer

🎤 Pro Tips for Your Auctioneer

• ✅ Tell bidders to click "Bid Live"
  This button appears in the top-left corner of their screen after the first item is started by the admin.

• ✅ Keep a steady pace
  Encourage your auctioneer to look up and engage with the crowd. Watch for bidder responses through EventStream.

• ✅ Need to re-open a sold item?
  The volunteer controlling the Manage View can click Re-Open, and bidding will resume immediately.
