đź’˛How to Embed a Donation Form on Your Website (Virtual Venue)

Embedding a ClickBid donation form directly onto your organization’s website makes it easy for supporters to give year-round. Here’s how to set it up in just a few steps.

⚙️Set Up Your Donation Item

Before you can embed a donation form, you'll need a designated donation item in your ClickBid event.

  1. Go to Items > Manage Items in your event.

  2. Find an existing donation item labeled Online Donation/Text to Give item.

  3. If you don’t see one:

    • Open an existing donation item or create a new one.

    • Click the green edit pencil to the left of the item name.

    • Check the box labeled Make this your Online Donation/Text-to-Give item.

    • This change will auto save.

  • After saving, a new section called Online Donation/Text-to-Give Settings will appear below.

  • If it doesn’t show up right away, try refreshing your browser.

You can only designate one Online Donation/Text-to-Give item per event. This ensures the embed code points to the correct item.

âž• Copy and Paste the Embed Code

Once your donation item is properly set, you can get the embed code.

  1. Scroll to the Online Donation/Text-to-Give Settings section.

  2. Click the blue Copy Embed Code button.

  3. Paste the code into your website where you want the donation form to appear.

Consider creating a separate “Donate” event in ClickBid and keeping it open year-round. This keeps your donation activity separate from event-specific transactions.

✅ Confirm It’s Working

  • After embedding the code, preview your webpage to ensure the donation form loads correctly.

  • Test a small donation to confirm everything functions as expected.

If you skip assigning the item as your Online Donation/Text-to-Give item, the embed code won’t appear—so double-check that box is checked!
