Want to motivate donors by showing your progress in real time? You can display a donation total and fundraising thermometer on your bid site for Cash Donation items. This makes it easy for supporters to see how close you are to reaching your goal.
⚙️ How to Enable Donation Totals
Follow these steps to show donation totals on your bid site:

Go to Items > Manage Items in your admin dashboard.

Click on the edit pencil next to your your Cash Donation item.

Click Projected Display Settings.

Change Show Totals on Bid Site to Yes.

Make sure the item has a Goal set.

Open the Animation Theme dropdown and choose Thermometer.

Under Donations to Display, choose one of the following:

All Donations to this item – includes donations made through Text to Give.

Exclude Text to Give – only shows donations made directly to this item.

Sign into your bid site to preview how it looks.

All Donations to this item includes any donation made to the Cash Donation item, including mobile/text gifts.

Exclude Text to Give filters out mobile donations so you can track only direct web contributions.
Set a compelling Goal amount and announce it during your event to boost engagement with your thermometer.
✅ Confirming It’s Working
After completing setup:

Go to your bid site
-
Locate the Cash Donation item
-
You should see a live thermometer with your progress toward the goal
If you don’t see the thermometer, double-check that the item has a Goal set and that Show Totals on Bid Site is toggled to Yes.
🛑 Need to Hide It?
To remove the thermometer, repeat the steps above and change Show Totals on Bid Site back to No.
