📺 How to Cast EventStream to a TV for Live Viewing

Want to display your EventStream broadcast on a big screen during your event? Whether you're hosting a watch party or setting up a help desk monitor, this guide covers four simple ways to cast your ClickBid live stream from a phone or computer to a TV.

🆘 Tip: Share a Help Contact for Guests

Before your event begins, it’s a good idea to share a help desk contact so guests know who to reach out to for questions or tech help. You can include this contact:

  • On your Landing Page

  • In a mass message

  • In the Terms of your bidding site

Tip: Guests are more confident participating when they know help is just a message away.

🚫 Avoid Using the TV’s Built-In Browser

Warning: Do not use your Smart TV's web browser to access EventStream. The video may not play properly or could lag.

🔌 Option 1: Cast with an HDMI Cable

  1. Plug one end of the HDMI cable into your laptop.

  2. Plug the other end into an HDMI input on your TV (HDMI 1, HDMI 2, etc.).

  3. On your TV remote, select the correct HDMI input to mirror your laptop screen.

Info: This is the most reliable way to display EventStream, with minimal delay and setup.

🍎 Option 2: AirPlay from iPhone to Apple TV

  1. Make sure your iPhone and Apple TV are on the same Wi-Fi network.

  2. Open Control Center on your iPhone:

    • On iPhone X or later, swipe down from the top-right.

    • On earlier models, swipe up from the bottom.

  3. Tap Screen Mirroring (icon with two overlapping rectangles).

  4. Select your Apple TV from the list.

  5. If prompted, enter the AirPlay code shown on your TV.

To stop mirroring:

  • Open Control Center

  • Tap Stop Mirroring

📱 Option 3: Screen Mirror to Samsung Smart TV

  1. Make sure your Samsung phone and Smart TV are on the same Wi-Fi network.

  2. Ensure the TV is powered on.

  3. Swipe down from the top of your phone and tap Smart View.

  4. Choose your TV from the list.

  5. Tap Start Mirroring.

You can now control the EventStream broadcast and volume from your phone.

📡 Option 4: Cast from Android with Chromecast

  1. Confirm your Android device and Chromecast are on the same Wi-Fi network.

  2. Open the Google Home app on your phone.

  3. Tap the Chromecast device you want to use.

  4. Tap Cast my screen, then tap Cast screen again to confirm.

Your phone’s screen—including the EventStream broadcast—will appear on your TV.
