🧾 Sample Item Receipt & How to Customize
Your bidders' receipts are an important part of their event experience — and you can customize them to reflect your branding and provide essential details like fair market value (FMV), tax ID, and contact info. Here’s how to tailor different parts of the receipt to fit your organization’s needs.
Sample Item Receipt:
🖼️ Add Your Logo
Your organization’s logo will appear at the top of each receipt if uploaded.
-
Go to Software Settings.
-
Click Event Settings.
-
Scroll to the Logo section.
-
Upload or change your Logo image.
-
This will update the logo on receipts, the bidding site, and other public-facing event pages.
Use a clear, high-resolution image for the best results on receipts.
👤 Where Bidder Info Comes From
The name and contact info listed for the Customer section on receipts are pulled directly from the Manage Bidders page.
-
If anything looks off, double-check the bidder’s profile under Manage Bidders to edit or update.
đź’µ Show or Hide Fair Market Value (FMV)
You can choose whether to include FMV and how the “Amount over FMV” is displayed.
-
Go to Software Settings.
-
Click Auction Settings.
-
Click into the FMV Settings section.
-
Choose whether to show the FMV on bidder receipts by selecting yes or no from the dropdown.
FMV must be entered for each item on the Manage Items page in order to calculate the “Amount over FMV” properly.
📝 Customize the Statement Footer
Add additional messaging — such as your nonprofit’s tax ID or thank-you notes — to appear at the bottom of the receipt.
-
Go to Software Settings.
-
Click Auction Settings.
-
Go to Custom Content.
-
Edit the Statement Footer field.
-
This content will display below the default FMV notice on all receipts.
📬 Add Address and Contact Info to the Receipt
You can include your organization’s address and contact details for donor records and clarity.
-
Go to Merchant Account.
-
Scroll down to Bidder Statement and Receipt Address.
-
Also fill out Cardholder Statement Contact Info if needed.
Adding this info helps with tax documentation and boosts donor confidence in your organization’s transparency.
