🎟️ How to Run a Paddle Raise with In-Person and EventStream Bids

Paddle Raise donations can come from both in-person guests and at-home viewers. This guide walks you through how to sell a Paddle Raise donation item during your live program using ClickBid’s EventStream tool for virtual bidding, and Butler tool for entering in-person donations.

⚙️ Show Donation Amounts on EventStream

When you're ready to present different donation levels during your live stream:

  1. In the EventStream tool, click the next donation amount (e.g., $1,000).

  2. This will display $1,000 to remote bidders and deselect the previous amount (e.g., $2,500).

  3. Remote bidders now see only the updated amount.

Tip: You can change the amount shown at any time during the Paddle Raise to move through multiple levels of giving.

🧍‍♂️🧾 Add In-Person Paddle Raise Donations

To record live, in-room bids:

  1. Make sure your in-person guests have physical paddles with their bidder number clearly displayed.

  2. On a separate device, go to cbo.io/butler.

  3. Scroll to the Appeal section (bottom right corner).

  4. Click the donation item for the Paddle Raise.

  5. When a guest raises their paddle (e.g., for $2,500), type in the bidder number announced by the auctioneer.

  6. Click Enter or Save to add the donation to that bidder's account.

Tip: All donations entered here are automatically added to the bidder’s history in your ClickBid admin.

🛑 Ending the Paddle Raise

Once you’ve completed all donation levels:

  1. In the EventStream tool, click the Close button.

  2. This will end virtual bidding and remove the donation prompt from guests' screens.

Warning: Be sure to only close the item once all virtual and in-person donations are complete, as this action cannot be undone.
