📱 What is Social Sharing for Auction Items?

Allowing bidders and admins to share auction items on social media can help you spread the word and bring in more bids! This guide walks you through enabling and using the social sharing feature in ClickBid.

⚙️ How to Enable Social Sharing

Follow these steps to allow bidders to share auction items:

1. In your Admin Menu, click Software Settings.

2. Select Landing Page Content.

3. Click Page Settings.

4. Scroll down to the Social Media box.

5. From the dropdown, select Yes to enable social sharing.

✅ Once enabled, bidders can easily share items on social media!

👥 How Bidders Share Items

Once enabled, bidders will have the option to:

• Share specific items on Facebook, Twitter, or by copying the item link.

🛠️ How Admins Share Items

Admins can also share items directly:

1. Click Items in the Admin Menu.

2. Select Manage Items.

3. Click on the Share or QR Code Icon (usually looks like an arrow or link, and can be found in the Tags section).

4. The item link will automatically copy to your clipboard.
   You can now:

• Paste it in an email

• Share it on Facebook or Twitter

• Use it in a Mass Messaging text or email.

📸 Instagram Sharing Tips

⚠️ Important Note: Instagram does not allow clickable links in post captions unless you’re running ads.

✅ However, you can share auction links through:

• Instagram Stories using the Link sticker

• Your Instagram bio

• Direct Messages (DMs)

Here’s how to share an item in your Instagram Story:

1. Open the Instagram app.

2. Tap to add to your Story.

3. Choose a photo or video (you can upload an item image or your logo).

4. Tap the Sticker icon and select Link.

5. Paste the item or auction URL.

6. (Optional) Tap Customize Sticker Text to change how the link appears.

7. Tap Done and then Share to Story.
