๐Ÿ™Œ Item Management: How to Add Item Donors in ClickBid

๐ŸŽ What is an Item Donor?

An Item Donor is the individual or organization that provided a product, service, or experience for your auction. ClickBid allows you to add donor information in a few different ways, and their name can be shown on your auction preview, bidding site, display cards, and thank-you letters.

The Donor Display Name field is required if you want the donor to appear on any public-facing pages or documents.

โœ๏ธ Option 1: Add Donors Individually

  1. Go to Items > Manage Donors

  2. Click Add Donor

  3. Enter the following info (tab through like a spreadsheet):

    • Donor Name (required)

    • Donor Display Name (if left blank, donor wonโ€™t appear on bidding site or materials)

    • Address, City, State, Postal Code

    • Phone, Cell, Work, Email

    • Donated Item Name

    • Donated FMV (Fair Market Value)

    • Notes (optional)

๐Ÿ“ Option 2: Add Donors at the Item Level

  2. Click the green pencil to edit the item

  3. Select the Donor Information tab

  4. Click Add Donor

  5. Fill in the donor details as listed above

If a donor has contributed more than one item, youโ€™ll need to add them separately to each item. Donor profiles cannot currently be linked to multiple items.

๐Ÿ“ฅ Option 3: Add Donors Using the Item Import Template

๐Ÿ› ๏ธ This method only works when you're importing new items.

  1. Go to Items > Manage Items > Download a Template

  2. In your spreadsheet, fill out these columns:

    • W โ€“ Donor Name

    • X โ€“ Donor Display Name

    • Y-AI โ€“ Donor contact and item info (address, phone, email, FMV, etc.)

Only one donor per item is supported via spreadsheet import. To add multiple donors, you must do so manually in the admin panel.
