Legacy: 💻 Using Shortcodes on the ClickBid Landing Page

Shortcodes allow you to embed dynamic content like videos, sponsor logos, and leaderboards directly into your landing page. These tools make it easy to enhance your event presence without coding — all from your admin panel.

This guide walks you through how to insert and manage shortcodes across your landing page sections.

🧭 Step-by-Step: Adding a Shortcode

1. Navigate to:
   Software Settings ➡️ Landing Page Content

   

2. Choose one of the editable sections: A, B, C, or D

   

3. Click the Shortcode icon dropdown in the editor toolbar

   

4. Select your desired shortcode type

🎥 Embedding a YouTube Video

If you select the YouTube shortcode:

1. Remove the placeholder text: "VALID ID"

   

2. Paste in the Share Link from your desired YouTube video

   

3. Click outside the content box to automatically save your changes.

🟣 EventStream Shortcode

• Embeds your live stream player

• The video feed will start once you begin streaming

🌐 Website Shortcode

• Embeds a fully functional external website

• Great for partner content, sponsor microsites, or additional event pages

🏆 Leaderboard Shortcode

• Displays your live leaderboard

• Editable under:
  Event Central > Leaderboard

🎯 Appeal Display Shortcode

• Embed your fundraising thermometer or visual display

• Replace "DONATION ITEM NUMBER" with the relevant donation item number

• Editable under:
  Items > Manage Items > Projected Display Settings

🧑‍💼 Sponsor Logos Shortcode

• Displays rotating sponsor logos

• Add/remove logos or reorder them in:
  Software Settings > Sponsor Logos 

🎁 Item Donation Form Shortcode

• Embeds a donation item entry form

• Can also be accessed via:
  Items > Manage Donors > Copy Link 

✅ Final Step: Preview Your Changes

Once you’ve added your shortcode(s):

1. Go to:
   Software Settings > Landing Page

2. Launch your landing page to confirm the shortcode content is rendering correctly
