đź‘€ Sample Experience by Device
Here’s what push notifications look like:
-
đź’» Windows 10 + Google Chrome: Notification appears in the bottom right corner of the desktop
-
📱 Samsung Galaxy + Chrome: Notification pops up like a regular app alert
-
🧑‍💻 MacBook: Displays native browser notification (if enabled)
đź’¬ How to Send a Push Notification (Admin View)
Push Notifications are sent the same way you send a text message:
-
Go to Bidders > Text Bidders
-
Compose your message
-
Push Notifications will only go to logged-in bidders who have allowed them
-
If a bidder has not logged in, they will not receive a push notification
đź’ˇ Use filters wisely! The filter "Bidders who have not logged in" will not receive push messages.
📜 View Push Notification History
To see your message history:
-
Go to Bidders > Text Bidders > Precomposed Texts
-
Click Sent To... next to any message
-
You’ll see how each message was delivered (SMS vs. Push)
To view a specific bidder's push notification history:
-
Go to Bidders > Manage Bidders
-
Click into the Bidder Profile
-
Select View Push Notifications
🔍 Under a bidder record, you’ll see:
“This Bidder can receive push notifications?” → If it says Yes, they’re eligible, but they still must accept browser permission to receive them.
