đŸš« Why the "Register Now" Button Might Be Missing

If your "Register Now" button isn’t showing on your event landing page, don’t panic. It usually comes down to a simple setting related to your auction timing, item availability, or registration permissions. This guide will walk you through the common causes — and how to fix them. 

🔁 Reason 1: Your Auction Is Already Open

If your auction open date is in the past or the Open Auction Early setting is turned On, the system automatically replaces the Register Now button with a login form.

  1. Go to Software Settings > Landing Page Content > Login/Register Area.

  2. Check these settings:

    • Auction Open Date — Is it in the past?

    • Open Auction Early — Is it set to Yes?

When the auction is open:

  • The Register Now button is removed.

  • Visitors enter their email or phone number directly to sign in or register.

    • Unregistered users are sent to the registration form.

    • Registered users are sent straight to the bidding site.

💡Tip: To keep the Register Now button visible before your auction opens, make sure Open Auction Early is set to No.

🛑 Reason 2: No Items Are in the Auction

If your auction is open but there are no items added, bidders can’t view or interact with anything—so the Register Now option disappears.

To resolve this:

  1. Add at least one item by going to Items > Manage Items > Add Item.

  2. OR set Open Auction Early to No:

    • Navigate to Software Settings > Landing Page Content > Login/Register Area.

    • Set Open Auction Early to No to keep the button visible until items are ready.

⚠ Warning: If your open date is already in the past, you’ll need to contact your Account Manager for support. Go to Training/Support > Request Support.

🛑Reason 3: Bidder Registration Is Turned Off

If the Allow Bidder Registration setting is disabled, your Register Now button won’t appear at all.

  1. Go to Software Settings > Auction Settings > Bidder Settings.

  2. Make sure Allow Bidder Registration is set to Yes.

💡Tip: Turning this setting on allows new users to register even if your auction hasn’t opened yet.
