ClickBid software runs a check for bidders based on contact information. To avoid duplicate records, ensure contact information is also on file for bidders.

Self-Registered Bidders

When having your bidders register themselves on the landing page, bidder numbers are automatically assigned.

Under Software Settings > Auction Settings > Bidder Settings > Starting Bidder Number, you can specify a number that you would like the system to start assigning bidder numbers at. If you leave this setting blank, the software will start assigning bidder numbers at 100. (with the exception of the admin contact being assigned bidder number 90 at account creation).

Ticket Purchasers through ClickBid

When having your guest's purchase tickets through the landing page, there is a manual process to assign bidder numbers.

Under Event Tickets > Manage Guests >, Simply select all your guests (max 100 at a time). Then, scroll down to Batch Update where you can toggle the setting 'Make Bidder' and type to confirm and press update. This will automatically assign bidder numbers to your guests, starting at the next number available. ClickBid will start assigning bidder numbers at 100.

Mass Import Bidders

When uploading your bidders on the backend of ClickBid, you can specify bidder numbers for your bidders, or let ClickBid auto-generate those numbers for you.

Bidders > Manage Bidders > Mass Import Bidders, download the template. Copy and Paste your bidder information (first and last name, phone number, email, and bidder number if you have a specific requirement) and then upload the template back into ClickBid. The software will read the template and upload your bidders accordingly.

Batch Update Bidder Numbers

Under Bidders > Manage Bidders, you can select all of your bidders listed by clicking "Show All Entries" at the top of the page. Click the top toggle button and scroll all the way down to the bottom of the page. Use the batch update section to select Bidder Number and type in the first number you want your bidder numbers to start at. Click Update to change all numbers at once.
