Screen Reader Assistance for Visually Impaired

ClickBid is compatible with NVDA assistive technology allowing blind and vision-impaired people to access and interact with the ClickBid bidding site and landing page. This is an easy, intuitive, and comfortable experience to use, so they'll have a stress-free, enjoyable time using ClickBid's software. 

Features 

- The NVDA technology reads the 'Bid' button within the bidding site to read subsequent data including everything on the bidding site including the item title, item description, item exceptions, FMV, Current Bid, Starting Bid, and Menu Tab. 

- The Landing Page will read any text contained within the page. Any images that have any alt-text added will also be picked up through the screen reader.

Alternative Text On Images

- Each Image uploaded within the Landing Page, Item Images, or Sponsor Logos can have an alt text added to be read aloud by screen readers. Alt text should describe the appearance or function of the image on the page.

Landing Page

- Software Settings > Landing Page Content > Sections A - D. When uploading an image, you can click on the image and click on the T icon to add the Alternative Text. When you have added the Alternative Text, then press the update button to save your work.

Item Images

Under Items > Manage Items Images, you can add the alt text by clicking on the T icon and adding the alt text and pressing the Save Changes button.

Sponsor Logos 

Under Software Settings > Sponsor Logos, you can click on the T icon to add the alt text for the sponsor image displayed on the bidding site and/or landing page. Once you have added the alt text, click on the Save Changes button.
