We have partnered with TravelPledge to connect you with generous providers of vacations, golf, lessons, cruises, and bucket list experiences that your donors will love!

Step 1: Connect to TravelPledge

Click Add Fun Experiences to Your Event from the homepage in ClickBid carousel (far lower right on welcome page, the box with the circles at the top). Then, follow the prompts to create your TravelPledge account. Once your account is created, you will see a link to TravelPledge with a temporary password. Copy your temporary password and use it when you click the link to login and reset your password.

If you already have a TravelPledge account do not create a new one, follow these instructions. 

Step 2: Find awesome items to spice up your auction!

Select experiences within TravelPledge that will appeal to your donors. TravelPledge’s percentage model guarantees you keep at least 40% of the winning bid amount, and you will not owe anything for items that do not sell.

Once you’ve selected the experiences to include in your auction, click Sync With ClickBid from your TravelPledge Event Dashboard. Your selections will be added as auction items within your ClickBid event.

Note: items will be synced with a status of “invisible” within ClickBid under Items>Manage Items. Mark the items as “active” when you are ready to show the items on your auction site.

Step 3: Sell your items

Collect bids on your TravelPledge items, just as you do with other items in your auction. ClickBid will send sales data to TravelPledge, and TravelPledge will automatically email you an invoice when the items are set to a status of closed and the items closing time is in the past.

Once you pay your TravelPledge invoice, TravelPledge will automatically email winning bidders their certificates and redemption instructions. Your winning bidders must have an email on their bidder record or the certificate will not be delivered.  We recommend that you collect payment from winning bidders before paying for any sold TravelPledge items.

 

What happens if you already have a TravelPledge account? 

If you have used TravelPledge with ClickBid for past events please follow these instructions:

To view your API key that you will need to link from TravelPledge to ClickBid in your ClickBid Event go to Integrations>Dashboard>Click on the green connect button located on the TravelPledge Card.

FAQ

  • Can we sell TravelPledge items multiple times during the event?
    • Currently, our integration with ClickBid doesn't support selling 2X items, but there is a workaround. You may do the following: 1) Run the auction, keeping the TravelPledge items loaded only once within ClickBid. 2) After the event and before paying any TravelPledge invoice, ask 2nd place bidders if they want to purchase the item. 3) Once you have the final total of all sales, log in to TravelPledge and decouple the event from Clickbid (i.e. break the sync clicking "I didn't use mobile bidding" - we can help you find the link). 4) Manually enter winning bidders for each item (email address & amount), entering both the first and second place bidders for the 2X items. 5) Once you pay the invoice, we'll email each winning bidder their certificate. 
    • Our best practice on this will be to decide before the event if you are going to sell the item multiple times, go into TravelPledge and if the item is available for multiple sale, it will say so, you can click to add another one of these items into ClickBid from TravelPleadge ahead of time.
